Dr.Asaithambi Manickam

Founder & CEO

With over 25 years of professional experience in the agricultural sector, including 20 years as a resident of Japan, Dr. Asaithambi Manickam has established himself as a leading expert in the global agrochemical industry. For the past 17 years, he has worked extensively in strategic consulting, helping Japanese companies expand their businesses, drive mergers and acquisitions, and develop new markets. His expertise includes identifying potential partners for manufacturing active ingredients, facilitating distribution networks, and strengthening business operations in India. Additionally, Dr. Asaithambi has a wealth of experience in global product development trials, specializing in early-stage R&D molecules, resistance management, and dose optimization for crop protection products.

Renowned for his integrity, loyalty, and a proven track record of building trusted relationships with Japanese companies, Dr. Asaithambi is known for his techno-commercial approach and results-oriented mindset. His strong negotiation skills and strategic insights have enabled him to create significant value for his clients. In recognition of his contributions to the agricultural industry, he was honored with the Global Indian in Agriculture Award in 2023 . Fluent in Japanese, and deeply familiar with its culture and business ethics, he has cultivated a strong reputation for excellence, enabling him to foster long-lasting partnerships and successful outcomes in the global agrochemical sector.

Dr.C.Kandasamy

Director, Regulatory Studies

Dr. C. Kandasamy is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of expertise in the regulatory domain of the agrochemical industry, specializing in both overseas and Indian registrations. Throughout his distinguished career, he has successfully secured over 150 registrations for agrochemical products globally, including in key markets such as India, the EU, UK, Spain, Malaysia, Latin America, and several African countries. Notably, Dr. Kandasamy has extensive experience in applying for US EPA registrations. In his most recent role as Head of Regulatory Affairs at Nichino India, he led the successful registration of multiple key products, including 9(3) Benzpyromixan (BPX) Technical, BPX 10SC, BPX + Pymetrozine, and BPX + Thiamethoxam within a record time of two years. His responsibilities included overseeing the entire process from data generation to coordination with research organizations, GLP labs, and experts, ultimately securing regulatory approval.

Dr. Kandasamy has also been instrumental in facilitating export registrations and positioning Indian manufacturing facilities as sources for overseas markets. He has effectively handled "in-process samplings" for submission to the Central Insecticides Board (CIB) and provided critical support for FSSAI MRL fixation for new products. Additionally, his expertise includes working with ICAR for dosage recommendations and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards for new molecules. Throughout his career, Dr. Kandasamy has generated significant data in key areas such as toxicology, chemistry, packaging, residue, and persistence, collaborating with contract research organizations (CROs) to support product registration and approval processes. His in-depth knowledge of the regulatory landscape, combined with his strategic leadership, has made him a key figure in advancing agrochemical products in highly regulated markets.

Dr.R.Shanmugasundaram

Director, Field Studies

With over 25 years of extensive research experience across various Contract Research Organizations (CROs) in India, Dr. Shanmugasundaram is a highly skilled leader specializing in Agricultural Entomology, Household and Public Health Entomology, Ecotoxicology, and Microbiology. His expertise lies in managing Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) test facilities and conducting field studies in these domains. Known for his leadership abilities, Dr. Shanmugasundaram has successfully motivated and guided teams across India to conduct comprehensive agricultural and public health studies, ensuring high standards and accurate outcomes. He is well-versed in the evaluation of pesticides for efficacy and toxicity, providing critical guidance for laboratory setups and the culturing of insects, which are key for effective field trials.

Dr. Shanmugasundaram’s specialization includes conducting trials for a range of agrochemicals, including pesticides and fertilizers, as well as household and public health products, following Good Experimental Practice (GEP). His extensive experience includes managing field studies for bioefficacy, phytotoxicity, compatibility, the effect on natural enemies, and residue/persistence studies in soil and plants. Additionally, he has a deep understanding of laboratory bioassays for both major insect pests and storage pests, and is highly proficient in interpreting study results and performing statistical analysis. Dr. Shanmugasundaram is also skilled in designing protocols for new agrochemical studies under both lab and field conditions and is trained to conduct studies adhering to GLP standards, ensuring reliability and regulatory compliance in all his research endeavors.

Dr.Rajendra Jadhav

Senior Trial Manager

With over 15 years of professional experience in the agricultural sector, Dr. Rajendra Jadhav has developed a deep expertise in conducting and managing field and laboratory trials for agrochemicals. Having worked with leading Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and research institutes in India, he has successfully conducted a wide range of bioefficacy trials evaluating insecticides, fungicides, fertilizers, plant growth regulators (PGRs), and biostimulants across various regions and crop types. His work spans diverse agricultural environments, ensuring that trials meet the highest scientific and regulatory standards.

Dr. Jadhav also brings extensive experience in managing laboratory bioassay studies for agriculture, household, and public health insect pests and diseases. His expertise includes designing and executing trials to evaluate the efficacy and safety of agrochemicals, ensuring that products perform effectively under real-world conditions. With a strong understanding of trial methodologies and a focus on quality, Dr. Jadhav has contributed to the successful development and registration of several agricultural products, solidifying his reputation as a skilled trial manager in the agrochemical industry.

Mr.Vaibhav Sanghamitra

Post graduate, expertise in conducting different agriculture field and residue trials on different crops like Cotton, Grapes, Rice, Brinjal, Tomato, Chilli, Groundnut, Sugarcane etc. Many years of experience in conducting bio efficacy and persistency studies, data generation for registration, SAUs studies, KT50 and KT90 value estimation and bio efficacy studies against household pests like Mosquitoes, Houseflies, Cockroaches, and Bed bugs.

Mr. Aravindhakumar, a dedicated Trial Officer, is an experienced agriculture professional with five years of expertise in conducting diverse field trials and managing various farm operations. His hands-on approach and deep understanding of agricultural practices have been instrumental in ensuring the success of numerous field projects. Dr.S.Mallikarjunappa

Technical Advisor

An accomplished professional with over 30 years of experience in Rallis, serving in diverse roles including product development and marketing, the ex-Vice President for R&D is one of the stalwarts of the agrochemical industry in India. His expertise spans a wide array of critical functions, such as maintaining insect pest and disease cultures for laboratory bioassay studies, resistance monitoring of synthetic pyrethroids and neonicotinoids, and managing household pests like cockroaches, bedbugs, mosquitoes, and houseflies. Additionally, he oversaw honeybee maintenance and conducted toxicity studies adhering to OECD guidelines, showcasing his proficiency in both agricultural and public health pest management.

He also played a pivotal role in regulatory studies monitoring, collaborating with State Agricultural Universities to ensure compliance with CIB & RC protocols for insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides. These efforts supported new product registrations through bio-efficacy, phytotoxicity, and natural enemy studies. Under his leadership, Rallis successfully introduced and launched over 15 blockbuster products in India, including single and pre-mix formulations. His close partnerships with Japanese companies further facilitated innovative product developments tailored for the Indian market, solidifying his legacy as a visionary leader in the agrochemical sector.

Dr.R.S.Krishna

Technical Advisor-Chemical Synthesis

Dr. R. S. Krishna, a Technical Advisor in Chemical Synthesis, brings over 30 years of extensive industrial experience in developing processes from lab scale to pilot production. His expertise encompasses route scouting, multi-step organic synthesis, and designing innovative synthetic pathways for target molecules. With profound knowledge in process optimization and development, he has successfully conducted a wide range of organic reactions, including organo-metallic, phase-transfer catalytic (PTC), and other catalytic reactions. Additionally, he has considerable expertise in pressurized reactions like catalytic hydrogenation, sulphonation, and carboxylation, along with impurity profiling and the preparation or isolation of impurities.

Dr. Krishna has played a pivotal role in developing numerous technical-grade pesticides, including OP molecules such as Phenthoate, Profenophos, and Monocrotophos; organochlorine compounds like Endosulfan and Butachlor; synthetic pyrethroids; and other significant molecules such as Thiamethoxam, Fipronil, and Chlorantraniliprole. His contributions extend to various conazoles and specialized chemicals like Saflufenacil and Spirotetramat. Leveraging his deep expertise, Dr. Krishna and Miyabi offer robust support in technical synthesis at lab and pilot scales, catering to diverse volume requirements and customer specifications for global markets.
